Hosting for Easter.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. To me it always signifies then end of winter & the renewal Spring offers. We have hosted Easter for the last 7 years. Easter was the first holiday I ever hosted. And I was thrilled to have the opportunity! I pulled out all the stops. I went and picked out fabric to have a custom tablecloth made. I ordered a custom flower arrangement featuring peonies & hydrangeas (my two favorites). It was perfect and really kicked off my love for hosting holidays. While these photos have never been shared anywhere, I wanted to share a few highlights from our first time hosting Easter. We had ham, steak, a mashed potato bar, corn, mac & cheese and a spring salad! For dessert, we had chocolate cupcakes topped with crushed Oreos & candy eggs and my favorite treat Spring Cookie bars (get the recipe here!). It was the perfect Easter.

No. 1. Bunny Held Place Cards

We are hosting a small group this year so I thought it would be so fun to make custom name cards and have my sweet little sitting bunnies hold the names on each plate! This is fun and such a special detail to make your guests feel welcomed! I ordered the acrylic names here, and the best part is they are reusable for years or events to come. The bunnies are from my boutique, linked here!

No. 2. Bunny Basket Floral Arrangements

I love making my own floral arrangements. There is something so therapeutic about playing with fresh flowers in pretty spring hues! Take your Easter arrangements to the next level this year by adding some bunnies and a cute basket! I have a full video tutorial (linked here!) but it is so simple using just a few things, small jars or mini vases, fresh florals, mini flocked bunnies and baskets!

No. 3. Table Treats Instead of rushing to clean up and leave the table once dinner is done, having treats on the table offers the guests the opportunity to linger and visit at the table. Quick things like Krispy Treats or cookies are the perfect option as they can be passed around easily and can be eaten without extra utensils needed!

No. 4. Bow Napkins Rings It’s all in the details! A simple way to elevate each place setting with items you already have (like linen napkins & ribbon), is to make a bow holding a fresh flower for each place setting. This would also be beautiful for any Spring entertaining including Mother’s Day. It is just fresh, simple, elegant and beautiful!

No. 5. Floral Ice Bucket

If you are having brunch or dinner, serving wine or champagne, a floral ice bucket is the perfect extra festive touch on the table! It is so simple to use (I have a tutorial video linked here). You just need fresh flowers and water, with this ice bucket mold (linked here!). It makes such a statement!
